Having to keep up with what my kids think is funny or cool is annoying.
Invariably it is a short phrase that becomes infused with a significant secret meaning a la Ok boomer, which I thought had to do with the Sooners.
All these stupid slogans like let's go Brandon should be carved in wood, busted into splinters and shoved up the rears of the Twitter and Facebook users who share them.
Other than that, nothing bothers me.
Except Bears fans chanting fire Matt Nagy at his kids hs football game. These people should receive enemas with overinflated footballs
But other than that, I'm cool with everything else.
Except the governor who think school libraries in Texas are filled with porn. He should get whatever "porn" he finds shoved right up his base
But really not much annoys meLast edited by pcf; November 24, 2021, 02:57 PM.

I don’t know where to start, but will go with announcers of college football that try and explain a rule and don’t have any idea what the rule is, along with the talking head that explains it but it’s an NFL rule and not an NCAA rule. Which leads to thousands thinking it’s the rule and then go to social media and complain how their team got screwed by the refs.

People that don't use turn signals (I will go out of my way not to let them in until the blinker goes on)
People that don't yield
KillerFrogs
Christmas car ads
Other shoppers at Costco
Influencers
Most of the crap my kid likes to watch on Youtube (particularly Preston Playz and SMG4)
Baker Mayfield
People that come home from college and eat all my pudding cups
Staff meetings
Elf on a Shelf
Feeling the obligation to watch Christmas Vacation every year even though I don't really like it and find Chevy Chase to be a horribly unfunny person
My dad's family
mushrooms in otherwise tasty dishes
"Stay alive! No matter what occurs. I will find you!" which prevents Last of the Mohicans from being a perfect movie
plain M&Ms

Trump, trumpers, MAGA'ers, anti-vaccers, pro ivermectiners, believers in crazy false myths about COVID and the vaccines, believers and purveyors of the Big Lie on the "stolen" election, politicians who are working to restrict voter access,
The idiotic car insurance campaign with the creepy guy and his creepy bird. Everything about it grinds my gears: the creepy guy and the stupid bird, the use of yellow in everything, the theme music, the incessant repetition of "you only pay for what you get" and almost nothing else. Please explain how that differs from other policies in which you can choose your level of coverage.. Even their commercials that don't have the creepy guy and the bird are incredibly stupid.
Universities that dishonestly use the cover of COVID to permanently and significantly reduce their contributions to employee retirement accounts.

Yeah...there was no faculty union or strike ever at my university even after some 70s idiotic admin decisions got the university on censure...until they started taking pension "holidays". Union came soon after and strike followed. No more "holidays". Most faculty considered that even more important than salaries (which were in the bottom 10% in the country at the time).
Faculty now sit on the pensions boards, most are economists.Last edited by NFFrog; November 25, 2021, 01:32 PM.

Compensation is already below the median for comparable universities (except for the top administrators whose compensation is top 10% for comparable positions in comparable universities) and the reduction in retirement contributions made it worse. Applications and enrollment are at record levels so it is not as though the university is hurting

University administrators are assholes. That's pretty much universal.

They all came across as capable of being perpetually swindled. The ladies tended to have one of two similar looks. Prim church lady or good time Southern lady. The guys were all baseball cap wearers unless they were wearing a flag
