Do you know about your commute situation yet?

Its not official official until HR does the paperwork, but I’m being relocated to the elementary school with the signing deaf kids (just about a mile from my current school). So instead of PreK-K I will teach K-2 DHH, so a pretty minimal shift overall (in fact I will again have 2 of the kids I have right now). Other than it just being a huge pain to tear down one classroom and set up another, and to figure out how everything works at a new school, this was the next best thing that could have happened besides just getting to stay. Still lots of questions about the future services for youngest DHH kids, and why the district felt the need to duck with something that was going exceptionally well, but I should be fine.

Realized I'd never posted the final iteration of the basement. We added a Skee-Ball machine, an air hockey table and a Bartesian drink machine.

We painted our Adirondack chairs to match our front door...is a sentence I never thought I'd say or write, but here we are...

Truly beautiful, Frisky (+hubby)!!!

I'm kinda' jealous. No...I'm rotted. I've spent more than all of my nest egg on a new foundation, new wood in many rotted areas, completely upgraded wiring (cheated by contractor 15 years ago), all new windows, new front entry, new rear entry/small deck, new siding, new roof on kitchen extension (a worker kinda' stepped thru it as it was more than a bit rotted), lots of new insulation, a new tiled bathroom with refinished clawfoot tub, a new set of kitchen counters and ceilings + some walls, and not much more. Fine exterior shell that should last many decades, but certainly no wonderful interior spaces like you picture here. But at least I'll have a great shell of a house with a nice bathroom and somewhat nice kitchen.

Well...at least I have lots of bottles of wine to piss away my state. I have about 100 now that are all aged more than a year. Should keep me going for a month or even more!
