Some good and some bad from last night's W. All in all, it was just kinda sloppy - though not unexpected, given all of the new faces.

Eddie Lampkin dropped 65lbs from last year. It makes a huge difference.

Frogs hosting our old CUSA foe, Southern Miss, tonight at 7. TCU is a 14.5-point favorite over the Golden Eagles, who are thus far 1-1 after beating something or someone called "William Carey" and losing by 21 to Billy Napier's current favorite hoops team at ULaLa.

TCU's opponent on Thursday, Nicholls State, takes on Baylor today at 11:00am CT.

Frogs are 14.5-point favorites tonight over Nicholls State.

The Colonels won the Southland Conference regular-season title a year ago, but lost in the conference tournament championship game to the Abilene Christian squad that went on to upset UT in the first round of the NCAA tournament. They're 3-1 so far this season, with a win over Northern Iowa to go along with two against something called Carver College. Their loss was on Monday at Baylor, 89-60.

Got down 38-25, before a 13-0 run to tie it up

...and then outscored the Colonels from there, 25-12, to win by 13.

Weird game, not a thing of beauty. But I'll take the W and move on.

Monday's opponent, Santa Clara, is no slouch at all.

Led by former NC State & Arizona State head coach Herb Sendek, the Broncos are off to a 4-0 start that includes lopsided victories over Stanford & Nevada.

I haven't seen a line set yet, but ESPN's BPI gives the Frogs a 54.8% chance to win.

Tipoff is 9:30pm central on CBS Sports Network.

                        Last night wasn't a real pretty W, but it was a W.

Good to get Baugh back healthy. Dude makes plays.

ESPN's BPI gives the Frogs a 90% chance to beat Austin Peay on Monday.

The Governors, led by longtime Duke assistant (and former player) Nate James, are 3-2 on the season after consecutive road wins over Dayton & Howard.

They also feature DJ Peavy, older brother of current Frog Michah Peavy.
